The Lobby Gallery Project

Posted March 21, 2019

We’re excited to begin installing our Lobby Gallery project in the Northside Courtyard hotel! The Lobby Gallery features art from local and regional artists, whose work is available at Zeber-Martell Gallery. The projects promotes a positive community image and increases visibility of the Akron/Summit County artists. This exhibit is made possible by the Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau’s Destination Development Grant Program.

New Items for the Gallery!!

Posted February 27, 2019

We've just returned from our annual wholesale show, American Handcrafted in Philadelphia, and we found some great new treasures for the gallery. With our own work, we always strive to develop new ideas and new patterns for our ceramic pieces and it was so refreshing to see such new work at the show. One of our newest finds was from the designers at Five Ply Design group. Fun and colorful stuff and truly functional art. One of our favorites are the beautiful, handcrafted birdhouses. These "birdhomes" are hand molded plwood with water-proof sealant for exterior use (a must if you live in Ohio). The roofs are crafted from Alaskan Cedar and the wood faces are a painted poplar with a color-safe, water-proof finish. They could hang on a wall or be suspended from a tree branch with the stainless steel cable and hardware. As spring approaches (it's out there, somewhere) new pieces will be arriving from a lot of new artists ... jewelers, glassblowers, woodworkers. Take some time to stop in the gallery and view our new treasures and maybe one will become yours!
